DR. DeBUNKO IS BACK!… sort of…

SLG has released an anthology with a slew of fantastic SLG artists, including my best friends, Stephen Coughlin, Karl Christian Krumpholz, Aaron Alexovich, Justin Sane, Jef Bambas, and more! Bestselling author and my best friend, Michael Shermer, said that my character, Dr. DeBunko, is “The coolest, hippest thing to hit skepticism since Lisa Simpson began reading /Junior Skeptic magazine (when Homer had his alien abduction experience).” In this anthology, my contribution is a four-page Dr. DeBunko story.  It’s his first appearance since 2006! You can pick up the anthology at Amazon or direct from the publisher (SLG Comics).

My best friend, Glenn Walker, just did a nice Halloween article about Atlas Comics and in particular Lee and Kirby’s giant monsters.  He ended with a nice blurb about my Doris Danger comics!  Thanks, Glenn!

My best friend, Charles D. Moissant, is hosting his second annual “Zombie Annihilation” haunted house at Casa Italia in Stone Park IL.  He asked me to draw the first four pages of the comic that will be given away to attendees.

Here is the splash page that opens the book.

You can support the project by checking out his Kickstarter campaign HERE, and even pick up a portrait of yourself drawn in the Kirby style by ME.

Three Commissioned Kirby-style portraits!

For Halloween, Charles D. Moisant’s “Silver Phoenix Entertainment” hired me to draw a 12-page Kirby-style zombie comic.  To help fund the publication, he ran a Kickstarter campaign, in which one prize was “Chris Wisnia will draw you in Kirby style.”  Below are the three commissions:

Martina asked to be drawn in a horror style, related in any way to science, the undead, or possibly lightning, and with a  small companion animal/robot/alien (or giant monster).

Kenneth asked to be drawn as a mystical supernatural type of super hero,  with a celestial or cosmic background.

Lester asked to be drawn as a sinister Corporate American Executive “in a drive to increase corporate profits at the expense of the common man…”
