If you’re like the ten or eleven other Tabloia
fans around the globe, then you’ve been
checking your emails and frantically scanning
the racks, every day or hour! You’ve nervously
re-examined the carefully-placed mark on your
calender, and seen it’s been increasingly over
four months since the previous issue of
Tabloia came out! You’ve wept and lamented,
“O, How long can I go without my beloved Tabloia?
Will I ever see my most cherished weekly
non-fiction tabloid magazine again! How have I
survived this long without all the joys it has brought
me! The misery! The misery!”
The short answer is, Well, you must live without
it from now on, because due to poor sales, Tabloia
has been cancelled! Kaput! Gone! So long!
Nighty-night!
However, the magic of Tabloia is still sizzlin’ strong!
All the stories that were coming next in Tabloia are
now simply to become their own books, (For example,
“The Dick Hammer Dailies #1!”, “Doris Danger Greatest
Army Battles #1!”, “Spider-Twins #1!” “Dr. DeBunko in
The Exorcist #1!”, and “Bride of the Lump #1!” And as a
special treat to collectors, notice how all these upcoming
titles have “issue number one” in their titles! That’s right,
Salt Peter Press has learned at least two marketing
strategies from their sordid past!
With all these exciting projects in the works, how do fans
keep track of what to look for? Here’s your answer!
Soon after the release of Doris Danger’s Humongous
Special (mentioned above), here’s what’s coming in
the immediate future:
“The Lump” trade paperback, featuring essays,
sketches, and a four page “Skitz Jenkins” story not seen
in America! (Originally published this Halloween in the
British horror anthology, “Dead By Dawn Quarterly!”
Check it out at www.smallzone.co.uk/scarcomics.htm!)
Next on the plate, Tabloia’s premiere artist,
Chris Wisnia, has been frantically at the drawing
board with the latest Tabloia exclusive,
“Limbo Cafe,” the story of an atheist who dies
and finds himself in a Christian Fundamentalist
afterlife! Chris is thirty pages in, and has about a
hundred seventy-two pages to go! More soon!
