"The penultimate Kirby-style giant monster comic. (I don't believe I've ever actually used the word 'penultimate', and I'm pretty sure I've used it incorrectly, but I like the way it sounds.)"

Doris Danger

Order Doris Danger: GIANT MONSTERS Amok from Fantagraphics (#FEB231405)

I am a card-carrying skeptic with a deep fascination with people’s beliefs in the supernatural, and the lengths ordinary people sometimes go to justify mistaken beliefs. I also harbor an enormous love for the 1960's giant monster comics of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. These two interests come together in my comic "Doris Danger’s Giant Monster Adventures". Doris is a photojournalist who believes she was abducted by a giant monster as a child, and now travels the globe attempting to prove their existence.

Diary of a Struggling Comics Artist

I have a day job, a wife and two kids, a mortgage, and the delusion that I can make a living in comics. I haven't managed to find my following or get to that "next step." What I have done is collected conversations with some of YOUR favorite comics creators about the struggles we've encountered in choosing this profession, for my YouTube series, "Diary of a Struggling Comics Artist"!

Published Work

Doris Danger is my current online project, but the print editions, as well as all of my other, similarly eccentric comics like "The Lump" and "Dr. Debunko", are available for purchase at your local neighborhood comics store, and here online!
